How to Share Access to Your Server (Subusers)
You can invite other users to access your server through the panel by adding them as a subuser. You can control exactly what they are allowed to do by assigning specific permissions.
Steps
- Go to your server in the panel.
- Click on the Users tab.
- Click New User.
- Enter the email address or username of the person you want to invite.
- Under Detailed Permissions, select the permissions you want to grant them. Available permission categories include:
- Control โ console, start, stop, restart
- User โ create, read, update, delete subusers
- File โ create, read, update, delete, archive, download files
- Backup โ create, read, delete, download, restore backups
- Allocation โ read, create, update, delete port allocations
- Startup โ read, update startup variables, command, docker image, software
- Database โ create, read, update, delete, view password
- Schedule โ create, read, update, delete schedules
- Settings โ rename, reinstall server
- Activity โ view server activity logs
- Mod โ manage mods (version, loader, download, resolver, update)
- Click Invite User to send the invitation.
The invited user will receive an email with instructions to access your server.
Notes
- Subusers only have access to the permissions you assign โ they cannot exceed what you allow.
- You can remove or edit a subuser's permissions at any time from the Users tab.
- The person you invite must have a BaoHost account to accept the invitation.
