"Unexpected Error" When Starting Your Server (Disk Full)

If you see the following error when starting your server, it likely means your server has run out of disk space: [Elytra Daemon]: Checking server disk space usage, this could take a few seconds... Error Event: an unexpected error was encountered while handling this request

Why this happens

BaoHost checks your server's disk usage before starting. If your allocated disk space is full or nearly full, the server cannot start and throws this error.

How to fix it

Free up disk space by removing unnecessary files from your server:

  1. Go to the Files tab in your panel.
  2. Look for large or unnecessary files you can delete, such as:
    • Old or unused world backups
    • Unused plugins or mods
    • Large log files in the logs/ folder
    • Crash reports in the crash-reports/ folder
  3. Delete the files you no longer need.
  4. Try starting your server again.

:pencil: Note: You can check your current disk usage under the My Limitations section by clicking the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) at the top of the panel.

Need More Disk Space?
