Exit Code 128 (Elytra Daemon)

If your server crashes or fails to start, you may see the following in your console:

[Elytra Daemon]: ---------- Detected server process in a crashed state! ----------
[Elytra Daemon]: Exit code: 128
[Elytra Daemon]: Out of memory: false
[Elytra Daemon]: Aborting automatic restart, last crash occurred less than 60 seconds ago.

What causes this

Exit Code 128 is typically caused by:

  • Your node is experiencing an outage or undergoing maintenance.
  • A bug or corruption in your server files.

How to fix it

  1. Check for node outages โ€” Your node may be experiencing issues. Check our Discord Server for any announcements regarding outages or maintenance.
  2. Reinstall your server โ€” If the issue is related to corrupted server files, go to the Settings tab in your panel and click Reinstall Server and toggle Wipe all server files.
  3. If the issue persists after reinstalling, ping a community support member in our Discord Server and provide your panel username and node name โ€” they'll be happy to help.

โš ๏ธ Warning: Reinstalling will delete all server files including plugins, configs, and worlds. Make sure to back up your files first.
