How to Change Your Server Name and Description

You can change your server's name and description from the Server Settings page.

  1. Open your BaoHost panel.
  2. Go to Server Settings.
  3. At the top of the page, edit the Server Name and Server Description fields.
  4. Save your changes.

Note: Changing your server name or description does not affect your server's IP address.

How to Create a Backup

Creating a backup allows you to restore your server if something goes wrong.

  1. Open your BaoHost panel.
  2. Go to Server Backups.
  3. Click New Backup.
  4. Enter a name for your backup.
  5. (Optional) Enter any files or folders you'd like to exclude from the backup.
  6. Click Create Backup and wait for it to finish.

Note: Leaving the ignored files field blank will use the .pyroignore file if one exists in your server's root directory.

How to Delete Your Server

If you no longer need your server, you can permanently delete it from the BaoHost panel.

  1. Open your BaoHost panel.
  2. Go to Server Settings.
  3. Click Delete Server.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

⚠️ Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

How to Reinstall Your Server

  1. Open your BaoHost panel.
  2. Go to Server Settings.
  3. Click Reinstall Server.
  4. Confirm the reinstall.

⚠️ Warning: Reinstalling may remove your server files. Create a backup first if you want to keep your data.

How to Sync Resources

  1. Open your BaoHost panel.
  2. Go to Server Settings.
  3. Click Sync Resources.

How to Add a New Allocation

  1. Open your BaoHost panel.
  2. Go to Server Networking.
  3. Click New Allocation.

Note: You can only create one additional allocation. After creating it, your allocations will show 2/2.

Bedrock Edition

How to Change Your Server MOTD

  1. Open your BaoHost panel and go to the Files page.
  2. Open the server.properties file.
  3. Find the server-name setting.
  4. Replace the current text with the MOTD you'd like to use.
  5. Save the file and restart your server.

How to Change Your World Name

  1. Open the server.properties file.
  2. Find level-name.
  3. Change it to your preferred world name.
  4. Save the file and restart the server.
  5. Delete the Bedrock level folder.
  6. Restart the server again.

Note: A new world folder using the name you entered in level-name will be created automatically.

How to Download Your World

  1. Go to Files.
  2. Open the world folder.
  3. Archive your world folder (usually Bedrock level if unchanged).
  4. Download the archive.

How to Change Your Server Version

  1. Go to Server Options.
  2. Find Change Bedrock Version.
  3. Select your preferred version.
  4. Restart your server.

Java Edition

How to Change Your Server MOTD

  1. Go to Files.
  2. Open server.properties.
  3. Find motd.
  4. Edit the text.
  5. Save and restart your server.

How to Download Your World

  1. Go to Files.
  2. Locate your world folder (usually world).
  3. Archive the world folder.
  4. Download the archive.

Note: If you changed level-name, archive that folder instead.

How to Change Your Server Version

  1. Go to Server Options.
  2. Find Server Type.
  3. Select your preferred server software.
  4. Choose the Minecraft version.
  5. Restart your server.
