Network Error When Uploading Files

A network error may appear in the Files tab when attempting to upload files to your server. Here are the common causes and how to fix them.

Why this happens

  • You are uploading a folder instead of a ZIP file โ€” The panel does not support direct folder uploads. You must compress it into a ZIP file first.
  • Your file exceeds the upload size limit โ€” Most nodes support up to 1 GB per upload, though some nodes may support up to 10 GB. Files larger than your node's limit will fail to upload.
  • Your node is under maintenance or experiencing an outage โ€” This can cause uploads to fail unexpectedly.

How to fix it

Uploading a folder

If you are trying to upload a folder, you have two options:

Option 1 โ€” Compress into a ZIP file

  1. Compress your folder into a .zip file before uploading.
  2. Upload the .zip file through the Files tab.
  3. Once uploaded, right-click the file and select Unarchive to extract its contents.

Option 2 โ€” Manually recreate the folder

  1. In the Files tab, click New Folder and give it the same name as the folder you are trying to upload.
  2. Open the newly created folder.
  3. Upload each file inside the folder individually.

File is too large

If your file exceeds the upload size limit, refer to our guide on uploading larger files: Uploading Files Larger Than 1 GB.
