How to Change Your Server Version
You can change your server's Minecraft version directly from the panel without needing to upload any files manually.
Java Edition
- Go to your server in the panel.
- Click the Options tab.
- Under Server Type, click Change Type.
- Select your current server software (e.g. Paper, Fabric, Forge, etc.).
- Select the Minecraft version you want to switch to from the dropdown.
- Click Install and wait for the process to complete.
- Restart your server.
Bedrock Edition
- Go to your server in the panel.
- Click the Options tab.
- Under Change Bedrock Version, select the version you want to switch to from the dropdown.
- Click Change Version. This will automatically trigger a reinstallation of your server to download the correct files.
- Wait for the process to complete, then restart your server.
โ ๏ธ Warning: Changing your server version may cause world incompatibility issues. Make sure to back up your world before switching versions. See: World Incompatibility Errors When Changing Server Version.
Notes
- Downgrading to an older version is not recommended as it can corrupt your world.
- Some plugins or mods may not be compatible with the new version โ make sure to update them after switching.
