How to Install Geyser + Floodgate (Crossplay)

Geyser lets Bedrock players join your Java server. Floodgate lets them join without a Java account. Follow the steps below carefully.

Requirements

  • Your server must be running Java Edition.
  • Your server software must support plugins (e.g. Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Folia, Arclight, or Leaf).

Step 1 โ€” Download the Plugins

  1. Go to geysermc.org and download both Geyser and Floodgate.
  2. Go to the Files tab in your panel and upload both .jar files to the plugins folder.
  3. Restart your server once to generate the plugin configs.

Step 2 โ€” Configure Geyser

  1. Open plugins/Geyser-Spigot/config.yml (path may vary by server type).
  2. Find the clone-remote-port setting and set it to true. This makes Geyser use the same port as your Java server.
  3. Find the auth-type setting and set it to floodgate. This allows Bedrock players to join your Java server.
  4. Save the file and restart your server.

Step 3 โ€” Connect as a Bedrock Player

Bedrock players can now join using the same IP and port as Java players.

๐Ÿ“ Note: You may also use ViaVersion and ViaBackwards to support outdated client versions.
