How To Give Operator (OP) Permissions

This guide explains how to grant and remove operator (OP) permissions for both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition servers.

Java Edition

Operator (OP) permissions allow a player to use administrative commands and manage the server.

1. Open the Console page from your BaoHost panel.
2. Enter the following command, replacing PlayerName with the player's exact Minecraft Java username:

   op PlayerName
   

3. Press Enter to run the command. The player will immediately receive operator (OP) permissions.
4. To remove operator permissions, enter:

   deop PlayerName
   

5. Replace PlayerName with the player's exact Minecraft Java username, then press Enter.

Bedrock Edition

⚠️ Note: The player must be online and inside the server for the op command to work on Bedrock. If the player is offline, refer to How to OP Offline Players instead.

1. Open the Console tab from your BaoHost panel.
2. Enter the following command, replacing PlayerName with the player's exact Bedrock gamertag:

   op PlayerName
   

3. Press Enter to run the command. The player will immediately receive operator (OP) permissions.
4. To remove operator permissions, enter:

   deop PlayerName
   

5. Replace PlayerName with the player's exact Bedrock gamertag, then press Enter.
